I just went to visit a former teacher of mine who just had a transplant. She and her daughters were telling me that although everyone asks, "What can I do to help" they have one neighbor who tells them, "I'm going to such and such area or such and such store, do you need anything from there?" This way my teacher's family doesn't have to worry about little errands; their neighbor (who's going anyway) does it for them. So kind and thoughtful
My grandmother told me that recently, she went with her sister to a store. Her sister just had to run in, so my grandma decided to wait in the car with the windows rolled down for air, since it was a warm day. A stranger passed by and saw her sitting in the car and was concerned about her welfare. This stranger stopped and offered my grandma some water and asked if she needed anything else. We all thought it was very sweet of a stranger to stop and make sure she was ok.
